Seminar on High Legal Capacity for Judges and Justice administrators from Brazil

The Seminar started with an introductory lecture on the U.S. legal and court system by Dr. James G. Apple, President of the Academy. The Program included lectures at American University Washington College of Law and presentations on criminal investigations by two attorneys from the Federal Bureau of the Investigation (FBI). Afterwards, the delegation visited the Library of Congress and Supreme Court of the U.S., where they met the Chief Clerk Scott Harris. The group also heard various presentations on case management and criminal procedure at the Greenbelt Division of the U.S. District Court in Maryland led by Judge Peter Messitte. The seminar concluded at the American University Washington College of Law with the closing ceremony and the presentation of the certificates.
