The International Judicial Academy (IJA) is a non-profit educational institution chartered in the District of Columbia. It was established in October, 1999 to provide the highest quality education programs for judges, court administrators, ministry of justice officials, and other legal professionals from countries around the world. It provides instruction on how judges and court personnel should function in a modern, fair, efficient, accessible and transparent court system.
The Academy is a service organization that does not seek profits and strives to provide the most informative and instructional programs for participants at the lowest possible cost. Since its beginning it has hosted program participants from Central and Eastern Europe, South America, Southeast Asia and China.
